Master in Collective Housing

Web Design  Branding
Rebranding and Web redesign for the Master in Collective Housing, run by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid together with the ETH Zurich.

For the MA’s visual identity, there was a need of creating a fresh and updated look, as the previous identity felt dated and in the past, which would represent the Masters postitioning and relevance, being one of the top ranked architecture MA’s in Europe and the world.  There was also a need of simplifying layouts and contents, considering the vast ammount of information this website holds, as well as making it attractive to young architects.

The redesign of the logo consisted not only in a simplification of what was already there, but designing a flexible logo that could adapt to any medium in which it is features, be that a website, stationary items, social media, documents or merchandising.

This simplicity was achieved by centering the visual identity around one single but strong typeface, NB International Pro, designed by German designer Stefan Gandl. This typeface features a strong geometric structure, but also has its corners slightly rounded, giving it an ease to the viewer when confronted by it, creating a more friendly and kind interaction. This roundness is something that has been extrapolated to all the elements in the visual design as well as the web components.
